Additional information |
Spain's first large cathedral in Gothic style, built 1221-1567, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Since 1835 it has been the burial place of the Spanish national hero from the time of the Reconquista, Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, known as El Cid. The design of the coin depicts the upper western façade and the crossing tower. |
