| Additional information |
| Emona, on the site of today's Ljubljana, was a Roman military camp (lat. Castrum) founded 2000 years ago. The motif on the coin consists of a letter composition of the word "EMONA" or "AEMONA" and a stylised representation of the settlement's ground plan. The double "M" means "2000" in the Roman numeral script. |
