Additional information

In 2007 Finland started the redesign of the coins as required by the EU. At the same time, as in most euro countries, these coins were minted with the newly designed obverse side with an enlarged map of Europe. The motifs of the coins were not changed, only a few details were affected by the redesign. The mintmaster's mark M was removed, but the country code FI and, between the 8 and 9 o'clock star, the logo of the Finnish mints were added.
