The 25th anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa of Calcutta

The design features a portrait of Mother Teresa with a child. At the top, in semi-circle, is the inscription ‘MADRE TERESA DI CALCUTTA’ and at the bottom is the name of the issuing country ‘CITTÀ DEL VATICANO’. At the right of the portrait is the mintmark ‘R’ and underneath it are the years ‘1997’ and ‘2022’. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
