Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to Notre-Dame, the famous cathedral of Paris which brought together hundreds of craftsmen for its reconstruction as well as millions of people to celebrate its reopening in December 2024. The design represents in its centre, the facade of Notre-Dame de Paris seen from the forecourt. The rose window is inserted in the background of the spire. The year “2025” and the mention “RF” are inserted on the left side accompanied by Monnaie de Paris’ mintmark. The name "NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS" is inserted on the right side accompanied by the General Engraver’s mintmark. The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag. |
